Installing Arux Connect: Courses for iOS
Arux Connect: Courses allows course instructors or vendor organizations access to view rosters and take attendance for Course Sections that they are attached to instruct. Arux Connect: Courses can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for use on iPads or iPhones running iOS 16.0 or later.
Before Arux Connect: Courses can be used to view the rosters, you must add your instructors or vendor organizations as an instructor for the course section.
Your iOS devices must be connected to a cellular or wireless network and have internet access to see the course sections and take attendance.
Adding an Instructor to a Course Section
If the instructor is created in Arux, you can attach them to all of the course sections that they teach with a New Instructor Contract.
- Add an Instructor to a Course Section from the Admin Portal.
- Add a vendor organization as an instructor for a Course Section from the Admin Portal.
Verifying Course Roster Access
When attached to a course section, instructors can access rosters online from a browser, in addition to using Arux Connect: Courses.
To verify an instructor has course roster access from the Community Portal:
- Have the instructor log into the program or district's Community Portal from a web browser (navigate to https://DistrictName.arux.app and click Sign In).
- Scroll down on the Dashboard screen.
A section labeled Courses You Teach lists the course sections the instructor is attached to. A Download Roster button is displayed next to each course section.
If the Download Roster button is present, the instructor can use the Arux Connect: Courses for their course sections.
If the Download Roster button is not displayed on the Community Portal dashboard:
- Verify that the instructor is attached to the appropriate course section.
- Check that the course section is in a current or upcoming course catalogue.
If you need further help, contact your program or districts Arux admin.
