Arux Connect: Courses Basics

Arux Connect: Courses for iOS puts course roster information at the fingertips of instructors, making it easier to manage courses and take attendance. All of your course data and attendance automatically syncs with the Admin Portal.

You can also access important information for each enrolled user, including answers to enrollment questions, Emergency Contacts, and other data.

Using Arux Connect: Courses

When launching the app for the first time, you will see welcome screens that prompt you to log in.

The welcome screen gives the option to Get Started The Getting Started screen informs users to sign in with their Arux account info

There are two account types that can sign in to Arux Connect: Courses: Instructor accounts and Arux Admin accounts. Choose the sign in option that matches your role to sign in to the app.

Note:

Instructors:

  • Sign in using the method associated with the instructor account. Available options are: email/password, Apple login, Google login, and Facebook login.
    The various sign in methods are displayed on the sign in screen
  • You can Verify Course Roster Access for an account from the Community Portal.
  • If your instructor account is associated with more than one program or district, you can select the desired Organization, then tap Next.

Admins:

  • Sign in using the same credentials used to access the Arux Admin Portal.

Arux Connect: Courses is separated into three tabs which are discussed below.

Courses

The Courses tab gives you access to information about all of the Course Sections in the Organization that you are attached to instruct.

Each course section includes the number of enrolled users, the current course section status, and the course section number.

A search field and filters allow you to narrow down the listed courses, if required. Enter the name of the course to search for, or tap the icon at the right of the search field to filter by Active and Upcoming course sections.

Viewing a Course Section

Tapping a Course Section displays a view page that includes a list of Enrollments and Course Info for the selected course section.

Enrollments

The list of enrollees includes all users that are currently registered for the course section and users on the waiting list will be displayed under the Waitlist heading.

Tapping the Check ( ) icon next to a enrollee's name will mark them as present in attendance for that day. Tapping the Info ( ) icon displays additional information about the enrollee.

Note:

By default, only the enrollee's name will be displayed. Additional information can be enabled by configuring the Online Report Defaults for the course section from the Admin Portal.
Some examples of additional data that can be included are:

  • Phone numbers
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Emergency contacts
  • Enrollment questions
  • And many more

The search field and filters help you easily find a specific enrollee. Enter the enrollee name to search, or tap the icon at the right of the search field to filter by Present and/or Sibling Care.

Course Info

The Course Info provides additional details about the course section, including:

  • Section Number
  • Next Class date
  • Enrollee number
  • Number of enrollees on the Waiting List
  • Minimum number of enrollees
  • Maximum number of enrollees
  • Course section address
  • Map location data

Enrollments

The Enrollments tab displays a daily list of Enrollees for all Course Sections you teach. The enrollees include users that are currently registered and users on the waiting list will be displayed under the Waitlist heading.

Settings

From the Settings tab, you can sign out of the app and access to details about your Organizations. If you are an instructor and teach courses for more than one district or program, tapping the Switch Organization link allows you to choose the Organization that you want to see courses for.

Note:

Users that are signed in as an Admin User do not have the option to Switch Organizations.

Tapping an Organization will display contact information and provide links to getting help with your courses or help with Arux Connect: Courses. Tapping the Get Help button will give you access to submit a ticket with either your Organization or Arux Support.
