Registering for Non-School Day Care

When your district or organization schedules a day off, they may offer Non-School Day Care for eligible students. Using Arux, registering for child care on a non-school day is easy.

Note:

You must be enrolled in a child care program to make a request for non-school day care.

For desktop devices
  1. Navigate to your program's Arux Community Portal site and click Sign In.
    The Sign In page is displayed.
  2. Sign in to your account.
    Your Account Dashboard is displayed. If your dashboard is not displayed, click your name in the upper-right corner or click Your Dashboard in the footer of the page.
  3. Under Your Accounts select the desired Child Care Account.

    The child care contract page is displayed.
  4. Click Register Non-School Days.
    If there is no button for Register Non-School Days, the service may not be offered. Contact your district or organization for details.
  5. Select your attending student and click Continue.
  6. Select the season and click Continue.
    A list of Non-School Days for the selected season is displayed.
  7. Select the Non-School Days you want to register for.
  8. Click Continue.
    The Choose Locations screen is displayed.
  9. Select the Non-School Day location from the drop down for each selected date.
  10. Click Continue.

Note:

If your district or program has included terms and conditions or required questions as part of child care registration, you will be asked to review and respond to them here. Agreements may require you to check a box to confirm your acceptance.

  • Some programs may require a digital signature during registration to confirm your agreement with important policies or responses. You can sign using your mouse or a touchscreen device. If you make a mistake, click Clear to start over.

Once all steps have been completed, your request for non-school day care will be submitted and is pending approval from the district. When the district has approved the request, you will receive an email confirmation of the approval.

Note:

Non-School Days can only be canceled from your account page before they are approved by your district or organization. If you need to cancel care on a Non-School Day after it has been approved, you must contact the site administrator for your district or organization.

For mobile devices
  1. Navigate to your program's Arux Community Portal site and tap the Hamburger icon.
    The navigation menu is displayed.
  2. Tap Sign In.
    The Sign In page is displayed.
  3. Sign in to your account.
    Your Account Dashboard is displayed.
  4. Under Accounts select the desired Child Care Account.
    The child care contract page is displayed.
  5. Tap Register Non-School Days.
    If there is no button for Register Non-School Days, the service may not be offered. Contact your district or organization for details.
  6. Select your attending student and click Continue.
  7. Select the season and click Continue.
    A list of Non-School Days for the selected season is displayed.
  8. Select the Non-School Days you want to register for.
  9. Click Continue.
    The Choose Location screen is displayed.
  10. Select the Non-School Day location from the drop down for each selected date.
  11. Click Continue.

Viewing Registered Non-School Days

Once your request for Non-School Day care is approved, you can view those dates using the instructions below:

For desktop devices
  1. Click your name in the upper-right or scroll down to the footer of the page and click Your Dashboard.
  2. Under Your Accounts select the child care account the non-school days are associated with. 
  3. Under Current and Upcoming Contracts select your student’s contract.
    Any non-school days the student is registered for will be listed under the “Non-School Days” header.

  6. In the mid-screen navigation, tap Schedule.

    Non-School Days the student is registered for will be listed below the Schedule calendar, under the Non-School Days header.

Non-School Days can only be canceled from your account page before they are approved by your district or organization. If you need to cancel care on a Non-School Day after it has been approved, you must contact the site administrator for your district or organization.
